ENDSARS: Umahi relaxes curfew in Ebonyi

Ebonyi State governor, Engr. David Umahi

Ebonyi has relaxed its 24-hour curfew to a dusk-to-dawn stay in place.

From Friday, residents will remain indoors from 8pm to 8am.

Governor David Umahi has urged stakeholders, security agencies and residents of the state  to do everything possible within the ambit of the law to protect the citizenry from  any  form of violent protest and wanton destruction of lives and  property in the state.

The relaxation came two days after he had imposed dust to down curfew which was caused by hoodlums who hijacked the peaceful ENDSARs protest to cause mayhem in some parts of the state.

Daily Trust observed that normalcy has returned to the city capital, Abakiliki and it environs as shops, transport owners and some cooperate institutions have opened for business.
