A former president of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP), Waheed Kadiri, has called on the government to deploy the instrumentality of town planning to enhance the security of the country.

Kadiri said a well planned city or town would enhance safety of the people.

He spoke in Abeokuta, Ogun State, during a media roundtable organised by ‘Friends of Waheed Kadiri’ as part of activities to  mark his 70th birthday.

“The easier you describe a place, the higher the level of security,” the former NITP president said.
