Too often, Nigerians have been treated to his numerous drama of rushing to the kleighlight to make awful and irresponsible comments on national issues only to retrace his steps the next moment.

As chairman of the Governors Forum, whatever that euphemism means, our sensibilities have been thoroughly abused and we have had enough of his sordid outbursts which more often than not, tries to portray him as dejure president of the country. So nauseating that he comes regularly on television to talk down on Nigerians as if we belong to his hamlet in Ilorin.

Few days ago, he was at it once more, in his very elements, warning that no one could change the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the centre. He did not stop at such audacious pronouncements.

He had sought the toga of an adjudicator, absolving a top leader of the party of any corrupt charges. How ridiculous, can power-hungry governor demonstrate crass ignorance of the simple rudiments of democracy vis-a-vis separation of powers.

One might ask when did he become an investigator, prosecutor and judge, all in one fell swoop to exculpate perceived wrong doings over serious allegations that have recently made headlines.

Not quite long ago, in the heat of the confused situation surrounding the ailing President Yar’adua, the Kwara Governor bit dust when he rallied some of his colleague governors to Aso Rock to tell Acting President Goodluck Jonathan not to ever attempt dissolving the cabinet-Federal Executive Council (FEC).

Perhaps, all he would wish for the acting presidnet, is for Jonathan to remain a robot, a titular head of state, crammed into the confines of the ‘villa’, only good to be seen but not heard, or carrying out any function.

It was this unpatriotic and irresponsible outburst that buoyed some members of the dismissed cabinet to have the temerity to write a condemnable letter signed by the misguided lots, warning the acting president not to ever contemplate dissolving the cabinet. Of course, if the cabinet had to be thrown overboard, they pencilled down very choicy posts for the group.

Probably, the Kwara Governor had hardly returned to Ilorin after that miserable trip to Abuja, when Jonathan pulled the rugs under their feet, by not only kicking out the Justice Minister, Michael Aondakaa, but sacking the entire cabinet.

The acting president whose action received tumultous commendation by patriotic Nigerians, must discountenance the vaulting ambition of the young Saraki, who when caught in his game, often resorted to taking copious advertorials seeking solace by explaining unconvincingly his stance which are already prejudiced.

One recalls his sudden trip to Saudia Arabia as soon as the President was flown to Saudia Arabia for treatment. However, he met his match as Turai Yar Adua the wife of the ailing President blocked all avenues of seeing the president knowing well his ulterior motives.

The Kwara State Governor had just a few months more before leaving seat of power, since he would have completed his mandatory two-terms as governor. Nigerians must be eagerly waiting to see the testimonial from the government-owned ‘Ombudsman’- the Code of Conduct Bureau and several anti-graft agencies, by the time he quits next year.
