Entrenching transparent hajj operations

Especially in the field of Information Technology, the board has now fully gone on-line in all its postings beginning with registration and payments of hajj fare by all intending pilgrims. This is aimed at improving hajj activities in the state. Towards this end, a new system of posting data, Biometric System, was introduced by the board.  Although it started as a trial, dedication, foresight and selfless efforts of the management has made the system successful, thereby allowing room for further enhancement of the system to cover all aspects of hajj operations.  In addition to that, the board has now upgraded the Biometric System to contain all hajj-related transactions.  The build-up package now contains avenue for remitting all payments made by any intending pilgrim in respect of the 2010 hajj and beyond. These exercises have now taken off fully in the board.  The aim is to have transparent and accountable system of monetary transactions within the board.  It also enables a complete check and balance of all hajj-related postings.

Going by these developments, the Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Abdullahi Mukhtar Mohammed (MON) together with his management team has now adopted a comprehensive method of curtailing most of the hitches being faced during hajj operations.  Furthermore, this method if fully maintained will put an end to the challenges being faced right from registration and   payment processes.  This initiation by the Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has yielded a very positive result and is worthy of emulation not only by other state pilgrims boards of the federation but also the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NHCN).
