Environmental engineers confers fellowship on Iwuanyanwu

The Nigerian Institution of Environmental Engineers (NIEE) will confer the Fellowship of the Institution on Dr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu at its forthcoming public lecture in Imo State on Saturday.

A statement from the National Chairman, Eng Olalekan Ajani, said the theme of the event is ‘Sustainable engineering, indigenous content and economic development

He said, “The conferment of the fellowship of Nigerian Institution of Environmental Engineers is aimed at professional capacity development of its members, bringing together practicing environmental engineers for technological, social and economic cooperation.”

The national president said the NIEE recognised Iwuanyanwu’s unrivaled sense of professionalism, national patriotism, and noble position as the single benefactor of the much-needed problem solving and nationwide project viz: Indigenous Content Innovative Challenge and Essay Competition.

According to the statement, the guest speaker at the event will be Eng. Hilary Owamah, an Associate Prof of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Deputy Director, Directorate of Intensive and Part-Time Programmes, Delta State University, Abraka.
