Chelsea may be up for sale but Thomas Tuchel’s showed no signs of being distracted as Kai Havertz scored twice in a comfortable 4-0 victory at Premier League strugglers Burnley yesterday. 

Chelsea struck three times in the space of eight minutes prompting the normally hardy Burnley fans to head for the exits well before the end.

At the Turf Moor, Brentford dealt a hammer blow to Norwich City’s hopes of escaping relegation from the Premier League as Ivan Toney scored a hat-trick in a 3-1 victory at Carrow Road.

A fourth successive defeat left Dean Smith’s side bottom with 17 points from 27 games, five points from the safety zone.

At the Molineux Stadium, Wilfried Zaha created the opener and then netted a penalty as Crystal Palace’s excellent first half display saw them claim a deserved 2-0 away victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

At St. James’ Park, Newcastle United withstood waves of attacks in an anxious second half to beat Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 in the Premier League and claim three precious points in a bid to secure their top flight status.

At the Anfield, Mane scored the only goal of the game against West Ham as Liverpool close the gap on Manchester City to three points.
