Thirty-nine-year-old Fagbemi, a resident of 48, Arobieke St., Igbogbo in Ikorodu, is standing trial on a three-count charge of conspiracy, fraud and stealing.
Prosecutor Insp. Samson Ekikere alleged that the accused with three others still at large committed the offences on March 26 at No. 7, Mojidi St., off Toyin St., Ikeja.
The accused obtained N1.8 million from Dr Ayomide Olaseinde on the pretext of letting out a two-bedroom apartment to him.
“The estate agent failed to let out the apartment to Olaseinde as promised.”
Ekikere said the offences contravened sections 285, 312 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the crime.
The Magistrate, Mrs Abimbola Oshodi-Makanju, admitted the estate agent to a bail of N500,000 in addition to two sureties in like sum. (NAN)
