Organised by the Delegation of the European Union to Nigeria, the Embassies of the European Union Member States and the Embassies of Switzerland, Serbia and Turkey, the 2013 edition of the fiesta will also hold in Kaduna, Jos, Port Harcourt and Lagos.
Since its inauguration in 2008, the European Film Festival in Nigeria has so far shown more than 90 films. It will feature ten films in   comedy, four in action, one documentary , three in  family , 17 in drama and two in romance .
A release posted on the EU film festival blog expresses conviction that this year’s edition will be even more entertaining and enriching.   “Cinema is an important medium for expression of culture and opinions, both in Nigeria and in Europe. We look forward to sharing with you all the variety, richness and potential of European cinematic art. We hope you will enjoy watching these movies and that you will appreciate the diversity of the European film industry.
“We are convinced that the European Film Festival is an excellent way to share our values and to build bridges and mutual understanding between Europe and Nigeria.”
With free admittance to see any of movies of their choice, guests will be able to have a taste of European film production until May 14 when the fiesta ends in Abuja.
