In a letter of tribute made available to Sunday Trust in Kaduna by the former CAN scribe, the late Adigbite was described as man with strong desire for the overall welfare of Nigerian, no matter their creed, language or pedigree.

Salifu said, “Unlike many, he harboured no hatred for Christians but was equally a man who could discern evil from good easily, no matter where it was harboured.”

He stressed that Adegbite’s passage is a national loss and prayed that SCIA will find a worthy replacement for the common struggle to build a strong, virile and united nation where “though tribe and tongue and creed may differ, in brotherhood we stand.

“My condolence goes to the President General of SCIA, His Eminence, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammed Sa’ad Abubakar the Sultan of Sokoto and the entire Muslim ummah.”

Salifu prayed for the repose of the soul of the late Islamic scribe while wishing the family the fortitude to bear the great loss.
