Sunday Omisakin, an ex-convict granted state pardon by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke in December 2024, has been re-arrested for stealing a plasma television in Osogbo.
Punch reports that Omisakin, who was previously convicted for minor offences, was among the ex-convicts pardoned by the governor alongside others like Segun Olowookere and Sunday Morakinyo, who were sentenced to death for armed robbery and theft.
However, on January 3, 2025, Omisakin broke into a house in the Inudun Area of Osogbo and stole a plasma TV valued at N600,000.
He was charged with burglary and theft under sections 411 and 390 of the Criminal Code of Osun State.

When he was arraigned on January 7, Omisakin applied for bail, but Magistrate A. Adeyeba adjourned the matter to January 10 for a ruling.
The prosecutor opposed the bail request, and on January 10, Magistrate Adeyeba denied bail and remanded him in the Ilesa Correctional Centre.
