Operatives of the Special Intelligence Squad in Kwara State have arrested an ex-convict, Godday Agaadi, also known as Emmanuel Okah, who was allegedly wearing a police camouflage and found with an AK-47 rifle and 25 rounds of live ammunition while attempting to steal a turkey in Omu Aran community in Irepodun Local Government Area.
The state’s Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, who disclosed this during a briefing at the weekend, said that a search conducted by the operatives led to the arrest, and that further investigation led to the arrest of “two other members of the gang, including a 41-year-old herbalist, Oyeniyi Olabode.”
The main suspect, he said, was an ex-convict with records of violent offences around the Omu Aran area.
He further said, “All three suspects are in custody and efforts are underway to track additional members of the criminal network.”
