Abdulmalik Isah, son of the younger brother of the immediate past chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT, Alhaji Mustapha Adamu, has reportedly been attacked with a machete by a suspected herder in Ledi community of the area council.
A resident of Ledi community, Usman Aliyu, said the incident occurred on Thursday around 5.23pm while the victim was working on his farm.
“Abdulmalik was working on his farm when the herder suddenly moved his cows into the victim’s maize farm, and he pursued the cows out of the farm,” Aliyu recounted. “Before he realized what was happening, the herder pulled out his cutlass and cut him on the head. The man used his hand to block the second attempt, but in the process, he was also injured on his right hand.”
