Former Kaduna State governor, Ramalan Yero, has purchased the nomination form to contest the Kaduna North Senatorial District seat, saying his decision was driven by a sense of responsibility and growing calls from constituents.
Yero disclosed this in a statement posted on his verified Facebook page, where he said the move marked “a significant step” in his continued service to the people of the zone under APC.
He said the decision was not based on personal ambition alone but on appeals from stakeholders and residents seeking “purposeful, inclusive and people centered representation.”
“I am humbled by the overwhelming encouragement, support and confidence reposed in me by stakeholders, leaders and citizens across the district,” he said.
The former governor noted that Kaduna North Senatorial District holds “immense potential,” pledging to pursue policies that would promote sustainable development, strengthen unity, and empower youths.

He also promised to prioritise initiatives aimed at improving the wellbeing of communities across the district if elected into the National Assembly.
