Ex-governors under the auspices of the Former Governors Forum have wished Nigerians all over the country a happy new year.
The forum made this known in a statement issued on Tuesday by its Chairman, Dr Babangida Aliyu.
The statement titled, ‘Former Governors Forum Wish Nigerians Happy New Year’, reads: “The Former Governors Forum (FGF) thank the Almighty God for the advent of another year and wish all Nigerians a fruitful, happy and prosperous new year.
“The Forum notes with gladness that despite the challenges of nation building, the country has remained one indivisible entity. In difficult and good times we as a people march on, we sincerely hope and pray for a better year for all Nigerians.
“The unity that we determinedly uphold as a nation through our interactions, intergroup relations and the values of heterogeneity is a culture that has transcended generations of Nigerians and this we will continue to promote as a body as we enter 2025.
“We equally call on leaders at all levels to promote and accentuate people centered policies for the good of our nation.
“2025 should remind us of our innate capacity as a nation, potentialities of a strategically placed country and a beacon of hope for the black race.”
