A former member of the House of Representatives, who represented Gwale federal constituency from 2011 to 2015, Muhammad Hussari Bashir Galadanchi has been  re-arraigned before an Upper Shari’a Court (2) Kofar Kudu, Kano for his inability to pay a debt of N3, 615, 200.

It could be recalled that in January this year the former lawmaker was arraigned in the same court for allegedly collecting the money from his  friend Muhammad Umar.

Counsel to the plaintiff Usman Dahiru Jafar told the court that  the dependant had violated the court order which ordered that the money be paid instrumentally.

He added that according to the order,  the dependant was expected to pay  N225, 000 monthly but he paid N 450,000 in three months, he stopped.

“He violated the order as he only paid N450, 000 within three months and since then he refused to give anything to the plaintiff,” Barrister Dahiru said.

He added that considering the dependant inability to pay his client as agreed, the plaintiff appealed to the court to compel the former lawmaker to pay the remaining N3,150, 000 in one installment.

But counsel to the dependant Barrister Abdulrahmnan Isma’il pleaded with the court to give his client more time, so that he could be able to pay the money as he was battling with financial challenges.
The case was adjourned to August 2, 2018 for ruling   on the plaintiff’s prayer.
