Crisp Nigeria (CrispNG), a youth-driven Nigerian online media, will hold its first annual lecture (virtual) on August 17 to commemorate the 2024 International Youth Day.
The virtual event tagged “The Nigeria of Our Dreams: Are the Youths Involved?” aims to promote solution-driven perspectives on nation-building and examine how youths can be integrated into governance and leadership roles.
Blessing Chukwuneke, CrispNG’s communication strategist, said the lecture became imperative to drive conversations about youth inclusion in governance amid the country’s challenges.
She said: “We aim to address youth issues in terms of nation-building, focusing on fostering societal rebirth through solution-driven discussions, which is our core vision and aligns with the goals of International Youth Day.
“The event will serve as an intellectual gathering to discuss the critical role of youth in shaping the future of Nigeria. By fostering dialogue on youth involvement in governance, CrispNG hopes to inspire a new generation of leaders committed to national development.”

Former minister of youth and sports development in Nigeria, Solomon Dalung, is among key speakers at the event.
Dalung will examine rising distrust in Nigeria, the japa syndrome and how government and relevant stakeholders can rebuild trust of youth in the Nigerian project.
Other speakers include Aisha Wakaso, Special Adviser to the Niger State Governor on Print Media; Dr Ambrose Igboke, a gbobal affairs analyst; and Prof. Luke Anorue, former head of department at the department of Mass communication, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).
Halima Layeni, the Founder & Executive Director of the Life After Abuse Foundation, and Busaosowo Osowoodarunae Bisong, a social innovator and lawyer will also speak at the event.
