The corpse of the daughter of the immediate past deputy governor of Ondo State, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo, has been recovered from the home of her boyfriend in Akure the state capital.

The deceased, Adeola Khadijat Oluboyo, a Level III student of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko, was said to have disappeared last week with the police made to believe she was in a kidnappers’ den.

Daily Trust learnt that Adeola’s corpse was later found in the house of the boyfriend identified simply as Adebayo, yesterday, and he was immediately arrested by the police.

A source, who preferred to remain anonymous, told our reporter that the suspect who came from abroad had allegedly butchered her and even removed some organs for ritual.

The spokesman for the Ondo police command, Femi Joseph, confirmed the recovery of the corpse and the arrest of the boyfriend. He said the police had been searching for the deceased for about a week after she was reported missing.

He said the boyfriend had even buried the corpse before it was recovered from his place.

He said the suspect would be paraded within the next 24 hours where the details of investigation would be made known.
