Dabwan defected on Thursday evening in Mangu, during a ceremony at the NUT Secretariat Hall.
Among the dignitaries who defected with Dabwan was Jonathan Aminu, a member of the House of Representatives from the Manguokkos Federal Constituency.
“PDP in Plateau has become a party of ethnic bigotry,” Dabwan asserted. He added: “Buhari got his APC presidential ticket without giving a kobo to anyone. At the general elections where the peoples’ will should speak in a democracy, the peoples’ will did speak and Buhari got elected. That is what democracy should be. This is the kind of democracy to practice.”
Dabwan said he reached his decision to quit PDP after paying his dues to the party. “I paid my price to PDP. I paid my dues.”
At the Mangu declaration was Plateau State APC deputy governorship candidate, Professor Sunny Tyoden.
