A former senatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State, Hon. Muhammed Bello, has resigned from the party.

The influential politician, who has long been regarded as one of the APC’s strongest pillars in the state, submitted his resignation letter to the party’s chairman, Gwange ward, in the Damaturu local government area of the state.

‘‘I’m writing to formally notify you of my decision to resign my membership from the All Progressive Congress (APC) effective immediately.

“This decision has not been made lightly; it follows considerable reflection on my personal values and the direction of the party.

‘‘After much deliberation, I have concluded that it is in my best interest and that of my community to step away from the party at this time. I want to express my gratitude for the opportunities I have had while being part of APC.

“The relationship I have built and the experience I have gained will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Hon. Bello was among the aspirants of Yobe East senatorial district in the 2023 bye election, which produced Senator Musa Mustapha (Kulas), a father-in-law to the minister of police affairs, Senator Ibrahim Geidam, as senator representing the district, after he won primary and secondary elections.
