Speaking at the inauguration of the board in Abuja, Sambo said the hospital would be a reference centre for health services in Nigeria and it could only be realised with an experienced team at the head of the management.

He added that the completion of the hospital within 24 months was a testimony of the rapid pace of events in the school.

He urged the members to give good direction for the hospital to fulfil its mandate for students and the public to come for medical services.

Other members on the board are Dr Shehu Sule, Mrs Onari Duke, Alh Dahiru Ibrahim, Dr Ibrahim Dada, David Ogbonna, Prof. Akintade Dare, and Dr Dogo Mohammed.

Responding, Datti-Ahmed expressed the board members’ commitment to adhere strictly to international best practices and extant laws of Nigeria.
