The immediate past chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State, Jamil Jibo Magayaki, has secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket to contest the Kaura Namoda North State Constituency seat in the Zamfara State House of Assembly.
Magayaki defected alongside Zamfara governor, Dauda Lawal, to the APC.
Buba Galadima, the Chairman of the Zamfara State APC Primary Elections Committee, announced that Magayaki emerged as the party’s flagbearer through affirmation.
He said Magayaki was affirmed by 9,987 delegates drawn from the five wards of the constituency.
Magayaki expressed gratitude to Governor Dauda Lawal, party leaders, delegates, and the people of Kaura Namoda North for the trust placed in him.
He assured party supporters of his commitment to work tirelessly towards securing victory for the APC in the forthcoming general elections.
He also called on all party faithful and other aspirants to unite and work together for the progress of the party and the development of Kaura Namoda North and Zamfara State at large.
