The former NBA boss stated this last week at the Nigerian Law School (NLS) headquarters, Bwari, Abuja while inaugurating two committees that would help improve the standard and quality of lawyers produced by the NLS.
“ NLS has adopted zero tolerance for examination malpractices, if you are caught you will lose forever the ability to be admitted as a lawyer,” he said.
He said that anything that was corrupt was not part of the NLS standard, adding that “we don’t tolerate it, it has never been tolerated and will not be tolerated.”
Commenting on the effect of the ongoing ASUU strike, OCJ said that the NLS would now have two streams of graduating students as backlog of students for two years would now be admitted.
He mentioned that it would be difficult for Nigeria, if for one year no new lawyer was admitted into the school.  
The first committee- on the review of the LLB curriculum and programme of universities has as its Chairman Prof. Awa Kalu SAN, a legal practitioner.
Other members of the committee are Prof. Roger Burridge, Dean of Law, University of Warwick, UK, Prof. Oyelowo Oyewole, former Dean, University of Lagos, Prof. Lawal Ahmadu, Dean, Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto, Prof. M.O. Adediran, Dean, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Prof. M. I. Said of the Faculty of Law  Usman Danfodio University, James Uko Kalu Igwe, SAN and Mr. Earnest Ojukwu, a Deputy Director NLS.
Their terms of reference to consider the course structure of the extant LLB programme in the light of domestic and international competence requirements of lawyers and to review the mode of teaching as well as to propose minimum criteria of academic standards for accreditation of law programmes in the universities.
The quality assurance committee is to be chaired by Mr. Earnest Ojukwu and its members are Garba Tetengi SAN, a legal practitioner, James Uko Kalu Igwe, SAN, Prof. Ayo Atsenuwa of the University of Lagos, Prof. Dakas C. J. Dakas SAN of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, Prof. M.M. Akanbi of the University of Ilorin and Mrs. Beatrice Shuwa as Secretary.
The objectives and terms of reference of this committee include ensuring the design and delivery of the programme uniformly across the campuses and to take stock and review academic support resources such as library holdings.
