They said the exhibition affords them the opportunity to see the latest technologies in the industry and to discuss with manufacturers on how to adopt some of these new technologies in their farms.
Musa Rabo Dan Hassan, a participant from Katsina, said “we are from katsina state in order to see the latest technologies in the industries and we have seen a lot, particularly the battery cage for day old chickens. We raise our day-old chicks on floors, but I’m impressed with the technology and most of our delegates are impressed with what they have seen so far.”
Answering question on whether they will acquire these technologies, Rabo said “we hope so because we are in talks with most of these companies, by the grace of God, sooner or later we hope to bring some up north so that our people can benefit from it.”
Sadiq Ahmed, Director Yarimiya Frams Makera Ajiwa, said most of the technologies they have seen in the exhibition are not common in Katsina. “We are also exchanging business ideas in the area of poultry management so as to increase the production capacities of our farms.”
Buhari Abdulkadir, a poultry farmer at the show, said that he was in Abeokuta to learn the best modern practices that will reshape the future of poultry farming in Nigeria.
