Exhibition an extension of Kebbi agric policy — Agric commissioner

The Kebbi State Commissioner for Agriculture, Alhaji Muhammed Dandiga, has said the Daily Trust/Kebbi State Farmers’ Interactive Forum and Exhibition is an extension of Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu’s determined effort to boost agricultural activities in the state.

Dandinga said, “Daily Trust has been leading in agriculture reports and it has helped to project our agricultural activities. The performance of Kebbi State in the area of agriculture is known all over the states and beyond the country.”

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/Editor-In-Chief of Media Trust Ltd, publishers of Daily Trust newspapers, Malam Mannir Dan Ali, in his speech, said Daily Trust supported Kebbi State because of what it was doing in the area of agriculture.

He said he was happy that the agric event was a huge success given the presence of the calibre of stakeholders and other operators in the agriculture sector that were at the exhibition.

The CEO said the event was designed to bring together major stakeholders in the agricultural sector to showcase the agricultural potentials of Kebbi.

He said, “Kebbi is doing well as a pioneer in the agriculture sector in the country. The event will spur other agric activities in the state.”

Participants at the exhibition included: Labana Rice Mill, WACOT Rice Mill, IFAD-CASP, S&M, Nigerian Association of Women Entrepreneurs, RAMAJEE International Nigeria Ltd., National Cereals Research Institute, Premier Seeds, Agricultural Transformation Agenda, Phase, Jada Rice Mill, Dangote Rice, ASHMAD Products, EUROBASED Group, Nigerian Commodity Exchange, Nigeria Agricultural Insurance Corporation, ASAJU Energy, NOTORE, College of Agriculture, Zuru, Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic Agricultural Equipment Fabrication as well as farmers from the 21 local government areas of the state.
