Exit of an extraordinary man called Prof. Jenks

It is a known fact that “after the toil of life is over, we shall only be remembered for the good things we have done”. He lived a good life and walked the part of history that will never be forgotten. Born on the 19th of February 1962 in Benue State, he proceeded to Methodist High School Igumale, and then proceeded to the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. An erudite scholar, a professor of repute, a gentleman to the core, full of life and good humor, he was one whose business was making people happy.
‘Jenks’ as he is fondly called, touched many lives in his 52-year sojourn on earth. In his 9 years  as a professor, he made an impact on a large swathe of society. Though he is no more with us in the physical, he will continue to live forever for the good work he has done. I remember, at your hospital bed that dark Friday, 7th March, 2014, I was praying for you and ever the optimist, you were answering ‘amen’ to all the prayers, accepting them all.
Peaceful, loving , amiable, humorous  and lively professor Jenks, keep making heaven lively with your kindheartedness, good humour and warm personality, until that bright morning when we shall meet at the feet of our Creator and there will be no more sorrow, pain or death, but life eternally. Adieu, Professor Jenks!
