The Medical Director of the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Kware, Sokoto State, Professor Shehu Saleh, has advocated for a monthly mental health check-up for civil servants and workers in private organisations to enhance productivity.
He made the call during this year’s Mental Health World Day celebration, organised by the hospital in collaboration with the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Plan International and Life Helpers Initiatives held at the weekend.
According to Saleh, this would help in detecting and addressing stressors in workplaces.
