Concerned by the rising number of building collapses in Nigeria, particularly in Lagos State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Industrial and Mechanical Engineer, Abidemi Ajayi, has called for a renewed emphasis on investing in engineers and adopting global best practices.

Ajayi highlighted the need for a multifaceted approach to tackle this critical issue. “First and foremost, there must be stringent enforcement of building codes and standards,” he stated in a press release shared with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday evening.
