An ICT expert has advised Nigerians especially the youths to utilize the opportunities of internet for economic empowerment especially in the face of the nation’s quest to diversify the economy.
Dr. Bashir Gwandu gave the advice in Abuja at the 2016 Nigeria Internet Governance Forum (NIGF) Local Multi-stakeholders Advisory Group (LMAG) themed: “Harnessing Internet Governance for Inclusive Development and Smarter Nigeria”.
Speaking at the event the former Executive Commissioner of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) said many youths across the world are utilizing the internet to help themselves by creating wealth among other positive impact in their communities.
“Information governance is the next frontier for communication especially for regulators. We must use internet for the betterment of the society to prepare the youths for the future,’’ he said.
