He stated this during the public presentation of his book “My Retirement My Paradise” in Abuja recently.
Lauding the pension act of 2004 which he said has helped retirees more than the previous ones, Ohanado called on government to shorten the time frame for accessing of benefits by retirees, saying many still suffer while waiting during the four months stipulated under the Act.
According to him, his work as an insurer which makes him interact and understand the problems of retirees motivated him to write the book.
He said the book is an eye opener to soon to retire workers because “many still retire without preparation, fall sick or die because of fear of retirement.
In addition, he said it is to enlighten them about the new Act and how to manage their lump sum and other retirement benefits.
