Oputa made the demand in two separate petitions to the IGP, copies of which were made available to Daily Trust yesterday.He condemned the killing of people without due process of law, adding that the wisdom of the criminal justice system in decrying jungle justice was made valid by the situation in Oguta. The lawyer alleged that the COP has killed leaders and members of criminal gangs who confessed to have kidnapped and killed one Emeka Aseme, a native of Oguta.
He mentioned that if the suspects were not killed, the truth of who killed Emeka Aseme would have solved many of the problems in Oguta community.
He implored the IGP to put an end to impunity by dismissing Mohammed Katsina.
