The Federation of Agricultural Commodity Association of Nigeria (FACAN) an umbrella body for all agriculture commodity associations in Nigeria has called for extensive advocacy to promote agriculture business and commodities as a means of diversifying the nation’s economy.
The National Auditor of FACAN, Labaran Wamba, made the call in Abuja at the election of executive members of the National Association for Pasture and Livestock Feed Producers, Processors and Marketers of Nigeria (NAPLIMAN).
Alhaji Mohammed Alibaba from Niger state emerged as President of the association.
A statement by the National Publicity Secretary, Hamza Alkali, said agricultural commodity associations played important role in attracting investors both local and international.
Alibaba assured members of the association of his commitment towards moving the association forward.
