Factors to consider when choosing a spouse

There will also not be a father and children will only have mothers, because the fathers of the children will not take the responsibility of caring for the children.
As all religions and scripture states, when God created Adam (AS), Adam was the first and the only human as at that time. Loneliness besieged Adam (AS) and he kept on supplicating to God to give him a partner that will live with him.
God then in his infinity mercy created Hauwa (Eve) for him, from the left part of his ribs so that he will have comfort.
Marriage is designed to be forever. Though there is divorce, but the divorce is unwanted and conditional. There are a lot of factors that one needs to consider before choosing a spouse so as to have a successful marriage;
Firstly, before choosing a spouse, one needs to understand his religious commitment. This is because, God is the creator of all mankind. If there is any relationship, then it is behind God – servant relationship.
If the person you intend to marry has no commitment to God, has no respect to the rules of God, then I guess he/she will not be committed to you. He/she will not respect you. And he or she will not take  good care of you. God created him or her, it is God that is providing his or her sustenance, and yet that person does not respect God. How will he or she respect you?
Secondly, you should know, learn and find out the level at which your spouse respects his or her parents. I doubt if your proposed spouse fails the first one if he can make the second one.
Our parents are responsible for our progress, our development and our upbringing. Our mothers carry us in the womb for nine months. They suffered all our childishness to bring us to where we are today.
If your proposed spouse does not respect his or her own parent, then forget it. Know that your proposed spouse will not respect and care for you as he is not doing it to his or her parents.
Thirdly, before choosing a spouse, you need to know the person’s level of commitment to his or her siblings.  Because they grew up together, played together, suffered and made progress together. If the person does not love, tolerate, and respect his or her siblings, then how can your proposed spouse respect you?
Fourthly, your fiance or fiancée must have neighbours, friends, cousins and other relatives. Don’t let love overwhelm you. Take a look at how he or she treats them, count on that before your relationship becomes stronger.
Other things that one should consider before choosing a spouse are;  honesty, sincerity, generosity, tolerance, understanding, his love for other people and his maturity. These things cannot be overlooked. One must make sure that he fully scrutinizes the person he or she wants to marry so as to have a successful, and responsible family in the future.
