Fadama III Additional Financing project has revealed that 48.9km farm access roads have been constructed under the project in Kano State to provide easy access to markets as a measure of boosting farmers’ income.

This was disclosed by the state deputy governor, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, while declaring open a three-day workshop on the 10th joint World Bank and Federal Government of Nigeria mission to Kano Fadama III projects.

The workshop was organised by Fadama III projects for the project’s team leaders from the 19 northern states of the federation.

Gawuna who is also the state commissioner for Agriculture emphasised the state government’s willingness in partaking in all projects that will develop agriculture in the state as well as promote agricultural practitioner’s economic standard.

He added that, the revival of FADAMA activities in the state has been one of the positive achievements so far recorded in the agricultural sector in the state.
