The failure of Nigeria to fully adopt the online business process outsourcing platform has dire effects on the nation’s economy, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has said.
NITDA’s acting director- general, Dr Vincent Olatunji, said this in Abuja when the agency trained 50 unemployed graduates in online biz outsourcing.
Dr Olatunji said leveraging on the online biz outsourcing platform would make diversification of the economy achievable as it would attract foreign flows of income.
He listed the deliverables of the online business process outsourcing to include freedom to choose what to do, who you want to do it with, where you want to work, consistent income, access to basic need of life and social relevance.
He said the agency had been repositioned to train unemployed Nigerians to be self-reliant and compete with others globally. 
He advised the beneficiaries of the training to value the training as it is key to helping them achieve crescendo.   
“Only if you know, this training can help you reach your goal of sufficiency and less dependence on the white collar jobs, he added,” he said.
