The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) issued an advisory ahead of Eid-el-Kabir amidst concern over a high risk of spread of COVID-19.

The advisory called for physical distancing, limited travel and use of face masks.

Photos from a mosque in Lagos showed enough physical distancing among worshippers.

But worshippers out for eid prayers on Tuesday morning as the eid kicked off in Mararaba, a Nasarawa town that sits on the boundary with Abuja, did not quite keep with the advisory.
