Officials of the Edo State Public Works Volunteers (POWOV) have apprehended one Mr Festus Okosun, over alleged impersonation and extortion of money from motorists in Benin City, the state capital. 

The suspect, who is not an official of POWOV, has been extorting and molesting residents around the Oba Ovonranmwen Square within Benin metropolis.

 Speaking with journalists at the weekend, PUWOV State Commander, Mukhtar Yusuf-Osagie, said the suspect had been extorting and impounding vehicles of unsuspecting members of the public, claiming to be an official of PUWOV.
