The former head coach of the under-17 women’s national team,said the players were ready for the December 14 World Cup qualifier date against Tunisia, after their 2-2 draw with Abuja based All Stars Football Club on Thursday at the National stadium in Abuja.
 “We will definitely beat Tunisia with this team. Definitely!” he said.
 Star of the night, Falconets striker Adegboyejo Yetunde, who scored both goals for her team, said the team will win the Qualifier against Tunisia and give a good performance at the Canada 2014 U20 Women World Cup finals.
 “By God’s grace we are going to give our best. I should be able to give them a goal, not even a goal but goals. When we get to the World Cup, we promise Nigerians we will give our best,” She said.
 Yetunde revealed that the recent successes of the male team, which she attributed to hard work and dedication, has not put them under pressure but encouraged them to be more dedicated.
 “They worked hard, that is why they got to that place. We are going to work hard as well. Our coach is trying, as well as our technical team and we promise not to let them down.”
 Falconets’ Coach Dedevbo said though the match was “just a friendly game, just to keep the girls on their toes” it was a sign of a team ready to emulate the male teams by winning laurels.
 Also speaking, Falconets media officer Elizabeth Kah,while defending the team’s performance said
 “They are playing against men who are ex-players and they have been able to score 2 goals.Definitely we will beat Tunisia. What we are aiming for now is the World Cup ticket in Tunisia.”
 Gbolade Madoks Dokunmu, Vice President of Abuja All Stars team said the match was to help the Falconets prepare for their upcoming Qualifier against Tunsia.
 “We toughen them up. We give them training matches when they have international matches coming up,” he said.
