Super Falcons of Nigeria safe hands Chiamaka Nnadozie has been nominated for the save of the season in the Women’s Super League in England.
The 26-year-old Brighton goalkeeper is one of seven saves nominated for the award in the 2025/26 season.

Her save against Liverpool in November last year received the nomination, a match in which the former Paris FC goalkeeper produced an fingertip save at full stretch to tip Fuka Nagano’s long range effort onto the bar.

The stop earned Nnadozie the save of the month award, culminating in the current nomination for save of the season.

Nnadozie joined Brighton on free transfer in July last year, and has been impressive between the posts for the club, maintaining a 74.7% save rate.

Nnadozie has impressively adapted to English football, claiming the player of the match award on her debut, and was also nominated for the player of the month award in the early in his Brighton career.

She has the second highest number of cleans sheets (six) for goalkeeper in the league this season.

She was instrumental to Brighton’s qualification for the FA Cup final, making crucial saves late in the game to lead the club to a 3-2 win.

She will face league winners Manchester City in the final.
