A group known as the Concerned Lagos People’s Assembly has called on the lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, to continue strengthening his engagement with constituents and development initiatives in Lagos State.

The group made the appeal on Tuesday during a press conference in Lagos, where it highlighted the importance of sustained representation and grassroots engagement in Ikeja Federal Constituency.

Addressing journalists, the President of the group, Abayomi Odukale, said the people of Ikeja elected Faleke to represent their interests in the National Assembly and expressed the group’s desire to see continued attention given to issues affecting the constituency and Lagos State.

According to Odukale, while the group acknowledges Faleke’s longstanding connections with Kogi State, it believes his electoral mandate in Lagos provides an opportunity for continued focus on the needs and aspirations of his constituents.

He noted that Lagos remains a critical centre of economic and social development, requiring consistent legislative support and stakeholder engagement.

“We believe Lagos deserves strong advocacy and commitment from its elected representatives,” Odukale said.

The assembly also appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to continue encouraging elected officials to support initiatives that promote development and effective representation across their constituencies.

Reaffirming its commitment to what it described as a “Lagos-First Agenda,” the group said it would continue to advocate accountable leadership, transparency, and policies aimed at improving the welfare of Lagos residents.

The assembly maintained that its position was intended to encourage constructive dialogue on representation and development priorities in Lagos State.
