Lawmaker representing Ikeja Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. James Faleke and his wife, Mrs Esther Faleke, were recently conferred with the titles of Atunlushe-Akorode of Ikeja land and Yeye Atunlushe-Akorode.
The title was jointly conferred on the former Chairman of Conference 57 (the body of Local Government Chairmen in Lagos State) and his wife by the three monarchs in Ikeja including the Alaguda of Aguda, Oba Hakeem Agbaosi Saibu (Ewe-Obaja I); Awise of Onigbogbo, Oba Oluwasegun Adeyemi Ajasa (Olaside I) and Oloregun of Oregun, Oba Olukunmi Olusesan Akingbola (Ikudoro I).
The trio described Faleke as a worthy son who has brought honour and restore the glory of Ikeja through his representation at the green chamber.
The honour came a few weeks after Faleke distributed 100 mini-buses (KOROPE) and 30 tricycles to youths in his constituency. Other empowerment tools shared during the programme, which held at the Police College, Ikeja include sewing machines, deep freezers, power generators, industrial sewing machines, hair driers, mechanical tools, vulcanising machines, hair barbing tools, wheelchairs for the disabled ones among others.
He said the tools will reduce massive unemployment facing youths in Ikeja and across the country.
While appreciating his constituents for their support, Faleke encouraged the good use of the empowerment tools.
