Verification

The image was analyzed using Google reverse image search, Tineye and Yandex, which showed that the exact same image has appeared severally online and goes back to 2014.

Aviation Company said to be responsible for supplying over 70 percent of the western world’s air forces with fighter ejection seat technology and Bremont; an award winning British Company that produces engineered chrometers.

Screenshot of a Google reverse image search shows the original image has been used multiple times to advertise the Bermont MB III watch which is the result of a partnership between Martin Baker and Bremont.

In a 2014 news release, Bremont Chronometers released an image of the Bremont MB III luxury watch together with the image of a flight pilot ejecting from a plane. The original Bremont MBI is a limited edition solely for pilots who have ejected from an aircraft using Martin-Baker seats whereas the MBII and MBIII are available to all.

The image appeared first in a 2014 watch advert for the Bremont MB III luxury watch.

Tineye provides 111 results and shows that the image appeared on several foreign and local sites before 2021 and it is used to visualise reports on the use of ejection seats by air forces around the world.
Also, having been subjected to visual analysis, the jet used to portray Flight Lt Abayomi’s ejection appeared white in colour while it is customary that Nigeria’s Alpha jets and other NAF air power appear in the country’s military desert and woodland camouflage.
