The North Central chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association in Nigeria (MACBAN), Danladi Chiroma Wednesday said the persistent clashes between farmers and herders in the northern part of the country was neither religious nor ethnic. Chiroma stated that though such clashes occurred in states like Zamfara, Katsina and other northern states, it was only in the Northcentral part of the country that politicians and a section of the media had given it a religious dimension. He said, “We are not happy with what is happening especially in the Northcentral. These attacks shock us, we hear about them just the way everyone does and it baffles us that no one has been arrested.
