An Iyaganku magistrate court, Ibadan, on Wednesday, remanded a 40-year-old farmer at the Agodi Prison over alleged murder of a 20-year-old man.
Godwin Joseph, of Apata Oloro village, Iseyin, was arraigned on a count charge of murder.
The magistrate, Mrs O.O. Latunji, ordered that the defendant be remanded in prison pending advice from the Oyo State Directorate of Public Prosecutions.
Latunji adjourned the case until March 19, for mention.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Sgt. Phillip Amusan, told the court that Joseph allegedly caused the death of Adamu Umaru on Dec. 14, 2018.
Amusan said the defendant allegedly shot the deceased with a gun on the farm.
He said the offence is contrary to Section 316, and punishable under Section 319 of the Criminal Code of Oyo State 2000. (NAN)
