An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Friday sentenced a 35-year-old fashion designer, Saka Alao, to three years in prison for pushing a man into a moving vehicle.

Chief Magistrate A.A. Fashola, sentenced Alao, after he pleaded guilty to conspiracy, stealing, assault and attempted murder.

Fashola, however, gave the convict an option to pay a fine of N100,000.

The Prosecution Counsel, Sgt. Michael Unah, told the court that Alao pushed one Mr Aminu Abubakar, who was repairing his truck into a moving vehicle on the expressway.

Unah said Abubakar fractured his left leg.

He also said that the defendant stole the complainant’s cellphone valued at N11, 000.
