Popular TV show, ‘Fashion Police’ was re-launched on Monday on the E! Channel with Brad Goreski, Giuliana Rancic and new co-host, Melissa Rivers.  Guests for this first edition were ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star, Nene Leaks and comedian, Margaret Cho.
Our reporter, who monitored the on E! channel on Wednesday, reports that they critiqued the best and worst outfits of last Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards with Miley Cyrus’ dotted transparent outfit winning best dress.
A new segment ‘What would Joan Say’ with the tag #WWJS was introduced with the panelists and viewers attempting their best impressions of Joan Rivers as they critiqued some outfits celebrities wore to the Sunday event.
Melissa, who critiqued Justin Bieber’s VMAs look, in a tone very much like her mother’s, said Joan would have said: “God, she looks pretty. I don’t know who Ellen’s plastic surgeon is but [she] looks amazing.”
Meanwhile, Kelly Osbourne has indicated her support for the show’s success. However, Rancic isn’t getting her support as she said: “I will never admit to liking Giuliana [Rancic] because I don’t. I don’t think she’s a good person and I think she’s a liar,” Osbourne told ‘TheWrap’ Saturday night in Los Angeles at the 4th Annual NYX FACE Awards.
Osbourne left the show in February to ‘pursue other opportunities’ following Joan Rivers’ death and the ensuing brouhaha over actress Rancic’s comments about Zendaya’s dreadlocks hairstyle at the Academy Awards.
But Cho may have had the funniest line of the show when she mocked Cyrus’ VMA red carpet hairstyle, saying: “I feel like that hair probably smells like pot and patchouli.”
E! Online described it as ‘a call-back to earlier this year when Giuliana made a similar comment about Zendaya Coleman’s dreads at the Oscars that led to the long time panellist publicly apologizing for making the “racially insensitive” remarks.’
Rancic covered her face with a throw pillow in embarrassment, as Cho continued in reference to Lil Kim’s new look that it was now complimentary to attempt to look Asian as a black woman.
