Here are some fast facts about the first batch of 200,000 selected nationwide

Fast Facts:

1. TEACH AND COMMUNITY

a. 150,000:  available spots

b. 352,480: Applications received.

c. 140,992: Selected

d. 4800 : additional divided for Borno, Adamawa, Yobe, Taraba, Bauchi and Gombe

e. Reason for d: adverse social economic circumstances

f. 4208: given to Jigawa, kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, and Bayelsa

G. Reason for f: Due to paltry applications

 

2. AGRO

a. 30,000: available spots

b. 58,002: Applications received

c. 23,201: Selected

d. Lagos Rivers and Osun had the highest applications

e. 6799:  divided across states with "specific crop fish and lives stock based targets

 

3. Health

a. 20,000: available spots

b. 39,068 applications received

c. 19,534: Selected

d. 444 : additional (12 spots) per states

e. 22: spilted between Sokoto and kebbi

f. Reason for e:  They had the lowest applications

g. Rivers  Lagos and Osun had the highest applications

 

4. GENDER

a. 39% of the total applications were female

b. 46% of the total (200,000) selected are women

 

5. DISABILITY

1,126:  selected (among the total 200,000)
