A man, Alfa Owolabi, and his son, Bodmas, suspected to be ritualists in Ajadi, close to General Gas, Iyana-Church Road, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Sunday, met their waterloo as youths of the area arrested the duo and set them ablaze.
Our correspondent gathered that father and son kidnapped a 14-year-old simply identified as Kodiri, son of one of the residents of the area.
A witness told our correspondent that father and son confessed to have killed the young man for ritual.
Our correspondent gathered that Kodiri was declared missing by his parents last week Saturday, following his failure to return to his family after he went out with a friend in search of bricklaying job.
The bush path leading to the Old Dairy Farm in Iyana Church area was said to be the place where Owolabi and his son perpetrated the act.
Our correspondent who visited the spot of the pandemonium on Sunday morning reports that some of the youths in the area who have turned a portion of the dairy farm into a smoking joint found the slaughtered body of Kodiri in a nearby bush.
When the body of Kadiri was retrieved from the bush, it was discovered that his right hand had been cut off and his heart removed.
The gory sight infuriated the youths who promptly searched for Bodmas, having discovered that he was seen with Kodiri on that Saturday and that Bodmas confessed to having done the bidding of his father; who instructed him to kill Kodiri.
While some youths mobbed Bodmas, another set went for Owolabi, who was arrested after a confessional statement and was set ablaze.
Effort to reach the police spokesman of the Oyo State Police Command, Gbenga Fadeyi, proved abortive.
