Ekiti state Governor Kayode Fayemi has received the report of the Visitation Panel to the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado-Ekiti.

The governor constituted the panel to look into the activities of the institution from 2013 till date.

Receiving the report in Ado-Ekiti, Fayemi expressed his commitment to building strong and virile institutions across the state, which he believed would entrench a lasting legacy.

The Secretary to the State Government, Mr Abiodun Oyebanji, who represented the governor, praised the decision of the Governor to choose people of high repute and integrity to serve as members of the various visitation panels constituted by his administration.

While assuring members of all constituted panels that all recommendations made in their reports will be thoroughly scrutinized and implemented, he appreciated them for their sacrifices while contributing their quota to the development of the State.

Fayemi emphasised that the exercise, which was not meant to witch-hunt would bring the best out of the existing institutions across the state.

Earlier, the Chairman of the EKSUTH Visitation Panel, Prof. Ebun Adejuyigbe, while speaking on behalf of other members of the panel, thanked the Governor for counting them worthy for the assignment.

She explained that various meetings were held with stakeholders and concerned individuals with several visitations made to the institution and it’s outstations before arriving at their recommendations.

Prof Adejuyigbe stressed that implementation of the recommendations will surely move the Ekiti State forward.
