Governor Ayo Fayose has for sometimes now taken over the duty and responsibilities of Oliseh Metuh to embark on gratuitous criticism of the APC led government as if to say the government is manned by supernatural beings that are capable of getting things done by wave of hand.
Most of the issues raised by Governor Fayose in his criticisms are orchestrated and traceable to Jonathan’s maladministration.
Governor Fayose should note that under Jonathan’s regime, General Azzazi from South South headed NSA before his demise. The INEC Chairman has been headed by Southerners severally, DSS was headed by Mr. Ekpenyong a man from the South South, SGF was headed by Pius Anyim a man from the South East and Chief of Staff was headed by Oghadiome from Edo and later was headed by a Yoruba man from the Southwest. All appointments made except that of the Comptroller General of the Customs have one time or the other been headed by people of Southern Nigeria. The appointment of Mr. Babatunde Fowler a Yoruba man from the Southwest to head FIRS and Kachikwu an Ibo man to head the NNPC should be seen as a fair deal in the appointment into core revenue generating agencies by the Government and besides the Buhari key ministerial appointments such as Ministries of Foreign affairs, Budget and National Planning, Finance, Power, works and Housing, Health and many more are drawn from the people of the south.
The Governor should not resort to unnecessary criticism just to score cheap political points in order to impress some praise singers most of whom are not oblivious of the state of the Nigerian nation prior to this present administration.
