FCDA holds exhibition on interior decoration

The Public Works Department of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCDA) last week organized an exhibition on interior decoration with a charge on stakeholders not to compromise standard.
The exhibition which was organized in collaboration with Interior Designers Association of Nigeria (IDAN) and some interior designer companies was aimed at creating awareness of the importance of interior decoration in both public and private buildings, especially in Abuja.
Speaking to journalists during the exhibition, the Director, Public Work, Ikenna Ikeledo, said the exhibition was organized to commemorate World Interior Day as well as creating awareness of the importance of interior decoration in buildings.
“People and builders need to be aware of the interior decoration issues because people would get to a house and they are not comfortable but they don’t know what is responsible for that.
As soon as people get to be aware of the interior decoration and its importance and how it affects them, the better for every one of us,” he said.
He explained that the idea of the exhibition was to make people aware of interior finishing and start appreciating them hence they called some interior designers’ companies to showcase their products for people to see.
